1. Union County’s Free Summer Arts Festival Concerts

When: Friday, June 21, 2019, 6:30 pm & 7:30 pm

Where: Echo Lake Park, Mountainside, NJ 07092

Come and join the Yoga, which will begin in the parks at 6:30. Relax and unwind at the concerts that will start at 7:30 afterward. This event is sponsored by the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders.

2. Campout on the Beach

When: Saturday and Sunday, Jun 21, — Jun 22, 2019

Where: 270 Mendham Road, Morris Twp., NJ 07960

Its an overnight adventure under the stars that you should try! Startup with some fun on the beach, swimming, boating, and racing around the Wibit. As the sun sets, There will be classic storytelling around the campfire and delicious marshmallow treats - it is fun for all ages.

3. Learn To Ride

When: Saturday, June 22 at 9:00 AM 

Where: Connecticut Farms Elementary School, 875 Stuyvesant Avenue, Union, NJ 07083

Learn this low-stress method of how to ride a bike through the "balance first" approach. Don't forget to bring your own road ready bike and helmet. It is a must for the children to be accompanied by a parent. By participating, you will earn a sling bag and refreshments.

4.  Project: eats

When: Saturday, June 22, 2019 & Sunday, June 23, 2019 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Where: City Hall Plaza, 280 Grove Street Jersey City, NJ 07302

Every day is a blessing and a celebration of warm days, cool drinks, and delicious eats.  Join this event with over 60 area vendors, plus music and fun activities. The food festival will run from 11 AM to 7 PM and will be located around City Hall in the Historic Downtown Jersey City.

5. Westfield Summer Movie Kickoff Night to Feature Live Band, Festive Food

When: Saturday, June 22, 2019

Where: South Avenue Train Station Parking Lot, Westfield, NJ 07090

Watch out for the summer movie kickoff night this Saturday, June 22, in the South Avenue train station parking lot. The night will be alive with music, food from south side restaurants, plus a showing of the 1995 movie “Jumanji”. They will also feature an enormous pizza by Outta Hand Pizza that will be decorated like the American Flag.

6. 2nd Annual Taco Palooza

When: Saturday, June 22, 2019, 11:00 am to 8:00 pm

Where: Municipal Field, 134 Main Street, Chester, NJ 07930

A benefit event from the Historic Chester Business Association & I Love Chester, NJ. Its a day for a festival to celebrate this delicious creation & our HUGE love for all things TACO. There will be lots of Beer, Sangria & Margaritas with Live Music & Vendors too. Don't forget to bring chairs, blankets & pop-ups. They are also asking all attendees to bring a non-perishable canned or boxed item to help support the local food pantry.

7. Lord Stirling Stable Dog Walks on Spring/Summer

When: Saturday, June 22 at 9:15 am

Where: 256 South Maple Avenue, Bernards, NJ 07920

Bring out your furry best friend for a walk at the Lord Stirling Stable. Check-in time for owners and their pets begins every Saturday at 9:15 A.M. Get them ready for a guided trail walk that will commence at 9:30 A.M. and normally lasts for approximately one hour.

8. Yoga Festival - IDY 2019

Where: Fair Bridge Hotel & Conference Center, 195 Davidson Ave Somerset, NJ 08873

The 5th year of International Day of Yoga will be celebrated on Sunday, June 23rd, brought to us by the joint effort of Consulate General of India, New York with various Yoga organizations. Come and participate in the workshop, talks, Yoga, Meditation and so much more.

9. IUOE Local 68 Family Picnic 2019

When: Sunday, June 23, 2019, 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Where: Forest Lodge, 11 Reinman Road, Warren, NJ 07059

Gather up the whole family and prepare for a classic picnic menu. Have fun and lots of laughter as you listen to good music, play some games and celebrate camaraderie.

10. “Small but Mighty” Art Exhibition

When: Sunday, June 23, 2019 1:00 to 4:00 pm 

Where: Farmstead Arts Center, 450 King George Road, Bernards, NJ 07920

The Opening Reception will happen this Sunday, June 23 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. Garden State Watercolor Society welcomes their artists, who will present “Small but Mighty” - a small works exhibition in the Farm House Gallery. A total of 36 artists will present nearly 60 small works – some are inspired by the Garden State.

Where:  Raritan Valley Community College, 118 Lamington Road, Branchburg, NJ 08876

Come celebrate the arts at RVCC. The College’s Visual and Performing Arts Department (VAPA) offers exciting opportunities throughout the year for you to view works of art, dance, music and theatrical performances. The Art Gallery displays the works of celebrated artists in all mediums as well as showcasing student and faculty exhibits. The exhibits are free and each one opens with an artist’s talk.
