Green Brook locals' love for the great outdoors is embodied in Washington Rock State Park, where they can enjoy a picnic, go for a walk or just hang out and relax with family and friends, while keeping fit has never been more convenient with an Eclipse gym. Locals also love their events, such as the Senior's Picnic and and Green Brook Fire Department's Pasta Night.

"Washington Rock State Park is right down the road. There are walking paths and hiking. Watchung Reservation is nearby."

"I wonder how many people in New Jersey know about this wonderful scenic look out...this is my favorite place for the view. My husband and I visited here in the Fall in 2015 and then at the end of September in 2016. This would be a great place to have some professional photos taken for graduation or weddings. There are some picnic tables for having a snack. I love Washington Rock!" - C

"There are many parks in my surrounding area. Some big, some small. Always a close place to hike, bike, or play."

"Nice place to spend the entire evening seeing the greenery of NJ, we can see the new york sky line and dense forest of NJ from this place. We went to this place last weekend and enjoyed our evening in this calm place." - Dash

"I won a 3 month membership [in Eclipse]. Great staff. The best classes around. Clean facility. Someone always eager to show you how to use machinery. Friendly and knowledgeable instructors. Would recommend as a choice place to be. Loved the boxing ring." - Carol

"We have a really great gym, Eclipse. It's a huge facility. The only thing missing is a pool. It is very popular in the area. The offer classes, they have basketball courts, racquet ball courts, trainers, and a juice bar. Many times driving home, I will see members of the gym working out on the hill with their trainers. It does get pretty busy, and they do not have enough parking to accommodate all members. Many times you will find members parking on the hill."

"Green Brook is a great little town. There is just one elementary school, and one middle school. High schoolers attend Watchung Hill Regional High School in Warren. I like the small town feel, and everyone knows everyone. Most people are friendly. We have tree lightings, Santa comes on the fire truck every year, movie nights at the elementary school in the summer, bag bingo, and family bingo. It's a great little town."

"There isn't much crime in this area."

"i love living in my small town with so much to do."

"Green Brook has many beautiful homes. You can find cute like capes, and if you go up the mountain you will find larger mini-mansions. For the most part of lawns/yards seem to be kept up with."

"Crime is not a problem in this town. I feel very safe living in Green Brook. I've never heard of a crime, and many times doors are kept unlocked."

"There are a few restaurants along 22. We have a lot of chains, for example we have a Bone Fish Grill, and Carraba's. There are some smaller places like House of Thai which we enjoy going to, and a really good sub shop called Just Subs. There is a also a Hibachi restaurant. Outside of those places, it's mostly fast food along 22. In town off of 22 it's mostly residential."

"Great people. A good amount of diversity, friendly, happy people. Lots of families."

"I live in a very diverse area enjoying the many cultures. I am lucky enough to be at the city, beach or mountains in an hour or less. I have visited many states and can say that while I enjoyed visiting other states, I still want to live in New Jersey."
